I’m sorry but this image is horrible. You’ve totally butchered it in photoshop. The highlight on the buildings is so completely unnatural it is annoying and the colors are horribly overdone. Just because you can, does not mean you should.
A bit exagerated HDR, sometimes this effect looks great, this is the case.

What kind of camera did you use. And how did you get the lighting on the building to be so bring even with the sun in the background?
Did you use one raw and make 3 exposures or take 3 photos at different exposure with same aperture.
Thanks for the info.
By the way, great shot!
Alan
Sorry peeps but it’s just too overdone for me!
I accept your comment that it’s fine art, but don’t say the water was that still n expect us to believe it’s a straight shot.

That is so beautiful…I feel proud looking at it Pete…God knows what you must feel like.

i like it becasue its liverpool and hdr is great in a way with strong colours and all that just this is so busy its almost like looking at those absract art images that make your eyes fuzzy
This and all your pictures are amazing, you are doing a fantastic job keep it up.
About the water being that still I recently went to Lake Vyrnwy and took this panoramic picture http://mrdimpy.x10hosting.com/lake-vyrnwy/Lake_Vyrnwy.jpg
the water as you can see was like glass. I would love to be able to do the HDR thing as the clouds in the sky and water would come out really well.
excellent hdr photo. what caught my eye was the reflections in the water. the sky is very dramatic with very vivid colours. beautiful photo to look at.

The water is so still because they’ve banned the kids from jumping in!

I didn’t butcher it in Photoshop at all. I created it in Photomatix and tweaked it in Photoshop. Its fine art, it works for me, I’m happy with it.
I don’t know how you did it but it’s just great
Wonderful
What an inspirating image! LOVE IT
