One of the things I noticed about Bruges was the colour red. So many doors and windows were painted red. Little red touches everywhere. It was quite interesting to see a city take to the colour in this way. I’m not sure I’ve ever noticed anywhere else. It’s almost like its part of the architectural guidelines for new buildings.

I’ve tried to find out why this happens but the only thing I can find is Flanders Red Ale. Which is quite nice by the way.

Not only were there red accents on the architecture but the people too.
