New series this week leading up to a new stranger photo. Bit of time travel too. This photo is from January when it snowed and stayed around freezing for over a week. There was a boating lake in New Brighton that swans like to paddle in. Its gone now due to renovation in the area. All the locals will know of it as its always full of swans and seagulls patrol the area for bread. Due to the freezing conditions the lake froze over actually trapping one of the swans. The RSPB had were called and they enlisted the help of one of the diggers near by to break up the ice. It was too thick to break apart with a spade.
