Last week I went on a walk with a group of people from Urban Picnic. Its a sort of social urban exploration group. We covered the Rope Walks in Liverpool, Duke Street, Parr Street, those areas just off Bold Street. Its a great area for photography. Lots of graffiti, old and new architecture, construction and deconstruction. I never really walk slowly around there as most times I’m there its early evening and I’m passing through to visit the Open Eye Gallery so I don’t stop to take pictures when everyone is drunk. It was nice to walk around slowly and discover the small details in the area. There’s lots to see. The place is covered in stickers. I don’t know why but it is. I’ll be focusing on these small details over the next week or so. Oh this appeared to be a bed of sorts. I’m not sure if anyone was sleeping there or not but it didn’t seem like it had been moved in a long time. I can’t remember if the black dots were flies or cigarettes.
