Just wanted to pop by and say hi and thanks for all the great images over the past few months, since I’ve followed your blog.
I used to work in the business, and amongst other things worked in London for some of the nationals a couple of times, and on cruiseships for 15yrs. My dear old dad stored all my negs and prints in his cleaning lady’s garage where they all died of mold and damp. 15yrs of my photographic heritage gone.
I very often look at your blog at work. I’m not suppose to but at times its one of the things that keeps me sane. Yes! There is something outside this f@+*king factory!
I came home and settled in Chester, and needed to pay the rent so ended up in this factory in Flint.
Your style is similar to another Liverpudlian photographer I worked with another Liverpudlian named Ian Hughes who has a site and once showed me some of his street pictures from all around the world. He also had a straightforward unpretentious way of seeing the world.
I still take a snap or two which I have finally put on a blog. It needs a lot of sorting when I get the time. In the meantime I just post and leave the tidying till later. So if you have a peek please excuse the mess.

I really much like the composition in the background here. I love those windmills emphasized by a soft pink sky. The moon adds an interesting mood to the shot. I would have probably cropped out the foreground, but the picture is also interesting as is, with the tire tracks and doodles in the snow. Lots of interesting details to look at.
I could have walked forward to just get the river and skyline but I felt that the snow was unique to this eclipse. Not often you get this nice a sky and a heavy dose of snow around here.
